The Kroschke Group with Christoph Kroschke GmbH and DAD Deutscher Auto Dienst GmbH develops practice-oriented and digital services for
all aspects of motor vehicles and the registration processs. Its portfolio includes license plates, registration and transfer services, analytics and
consulting services, as well as holistic, IT-assisted process and document management for the administration of large vehicle fleets. The Kroschke

Digitization is at the top of the agenda at the Kroschke Group: By providing holistic, IT-assisted process solutions, the company wants to create real added value for its customers. The company has developed a cloud-based analytics platform in house that allows auto manufacturers to remarket vehicles from the car rental business. The platform can be used to visualize and analyze vehicle characteristics. The required information is stored in a PostgreSQL database. The Kroschke Group wanted to make it faster and more efficient to move this data from SAP to PostgreSQL.

Solution with Xtract Universal
Marcus Thierling, CIO of Christoph Kroschke GmbH, explained: “We initially developed our own solution, but we then discovered that the necessary additional development steps were very time-consuming due to the complexity of the data transfer mechanism, so this approach turned out not to be suitable for us.” The SAP interface Xtract Universal with PostgreSQL add-on, which was developed by Theobald Software GmbH, a developer specializing in SAP interfaces, was just what the company needed.

Marcus Thierling continued, “We had already been successfully using ERPConnect from Theobald Software for several years. We were therefore confident that Xtract Universal would provide the right level of quality and functionality.” This was also confirmed in practice: The Kroschke Group first tested the interface using the free trial version and was amazed at how fast and well the data transfer function worked: Data was able to be transferred from SAP to the cloud database within 10 minutes, which was quite the speed record compared to the 16 hours that it previously took!
And as the CIO reported, the level of service was also exceptional: “The Theobald team assisted us with the initial setup of the solution.
The support team is first class. They are competent and very responsive. It is not every day that you find such a combination.” The reliable, incremental saving process was particularly impressive, which was something that Marcus Thierling was quick to emphasize: “With Xtract Universal, changes are reliably recognized and transferred. Our in-house solution did not provide a sufficiently robust data transfer.”
