Constantia Services is committed to driving digital transformation within its parent company, Constantia Industries AG. Approximately 65 employees across five locations in Austria manage the IT needs of the Constantia Industries Group in all areas. The specialist for plastic solutions previously relied on SharePoint On-Premises for collaboration and task management.
After the strategic decision to replace SharePoint On-Premises and move towards a cloud-based Smart Office with Microsoft Azure PaaS, Constantia Services introduced Microsoft 365 and Evocom as solutions for collaborative processes, project, and task management.
This led to the requirement to make data from on-premises SAP systems usable in Evocom for task generation and automation.

Solution with yunIO
Constantia Services discovered yunIO, and started a proof of concept. “During the evaluation of various solutions, yunIO convinced us primarily due to its ease of use. Other solutions were significantly more complex,” explained Wolfgang Wilt, Vice President IT Infrastructure, Security and Collaboration. “The alternative of native integration using coding was ruled out due to the associated development and maintenance effort.”
Initially, Wilt thoroughly tested the solution during a 60-day trial period. “What mattered to us was whether the performance and stability would be sufficient when we call SAP function modules from our cloud environment into the On-Premises world.” It worked out very well, confirming that Constantia Services made the right choice with yunIO.
Theobald Software’s support team demonstrated speed and flexibility when it came to implementing adjustments related to querying and reusing customer data in Evocom. “Theobald Software quickly and collaboratively with Evocom ensured that our customization requests were implemented,” said Wolfgang Wilt.
Currently, around 15 yunIO services for SAP queries are in productive use, integrated into seven different processes. These include travel registration and visit reporting processes, accessing tables, SQL databases, and RFC function modules.
