More and more companies use the Eclipse-based free and open source software KNIME for data analytics and data mining as a powerful and cost-effective alternative to proprietary BI solutions.
With Xtract Universal, it is possible to extract data from various SAP ERP, SAP BW and S/4HANA environments into KNIME. The loaded data can then be used for further analysis or visualization using such solutions as Spotfire, Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.
Seamless integration
Instead of the conventional, time-consuming SAP data extraction approach using the database’s JDBC driver, Xtract Universal enables a much simpler process. In order to access SAP data and load it into KNIME, all that is needed is a dedicated node: the KNIME SAP Reader node. This node accesses the Xtract Universal Server interface to retrieve the data from all queries with the Web Service destination.
Xtract Universal can be seamlessly integrated with the KNIME Analytics Platform and KNIME Server. All nodes and functions within KNIME can be used to work with SAP data. Access is easy via the KNIME graphical interface. No programming is required.
