SAP integration with Amazon S3 and Amazon S3 data lakes
SAP data transfer to Amazon S3
Cloud scenarios with Amazon S3 data lakes
Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) is a large and powerful object storage service for structured and unstructured data, and for many customers it is the storage service of choice for building a data lake. With Amazon S3, you can build and scale data lakes of any size in a secure environment. Data is made available from different sources in a central and cloud-based location, such as, for example, for big data analysis, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), high performance computing (HPC), and media data processing applications. All employees work with the same database, regardless of the location or front end.
Connect Amazon S3 and SAP with Xtract Universal
Xtract Universal ensures that data from SAP systems is reliably and continuously available in Amazon S3 and Amazon S3-based data lakes for further processing. Xtract Universal uses a multipart upload to move data to Amazon S3. The extracted data is sent piece-by-piece as so-called parts to S3 and buffered there. When the extraction is successful, the individual parts are then combined into one file.
