Using ERPConnect Services enabled us to break out of the existing SAP and SharePoint data silos and quickly and cost-effectively create an environment in which Microsoft SharePoint could be used as the platform for business process management (BPM) solutions.
Without ERPConnect, we would have had to develop our own interface from scratch. That would have cost us a lot of time and effort—and we wouldn’t have been certain that the interface could deliver the required performance. ERPConnect is highly flexible and can be fully adapted to different requirements and infrastructures. If we need to connect other systems to SAP in the future, we will choose ERPConnect again as our interface technology.
By using yunIO, we achieve maximum transparency in the various interfaces between SAP and third-party systems. When a third-party partner calls the web service, data from SAP is transferred to the workforce management software running on a local server—such as production area demands, timestamps, and absences. In return, planned shifts and employee absences are sent back to SAP.
yunIO enables us to seamlessly and reliably transfer data between our on-premises SAP environment and the Microsoft Cloud, where it is used to generate and automate tasks in Evocom.
yunIO is our universal tool for making SAP data usable in our Microsoft Power Platform in Azure. With yunIO, we can now distribute tasks more effectively. Instead of working in two separate development environments, SAP standard modules are prepared in a way that allows us to execute them via yunIO.
Full table extractions have changed significantly with Xtract Universal. For certain tables, we’ve seen a 15x improvement in loading times — an impressive gain. Now, we can provide data much earlier, update it more frequently, and significantly increase the value for our applications and reporting solutions.
By being able to perform delta loads instead of full loads with Table CDC, we can update our SAP data stocks more frequently in the future, even in near real-time if necessary. Instead of reloading a table with 30 million rows each time, we now only update about 1,000 rows that have changed. Instead of an hour, the loading process now takes only a few minutes.
