Licensing

Our software is licensed under a subscription model. This means that you pay an annual fixed price to use the software, including updates and support. This contract is automatically renewed if you do not cancel it at least three months before the new subscription period. Please also refer to our General Terms and Conditions.

With our product Xtract Universal, the specific annual investment depends on your scope of use. It depends on how many data extractions you want to use. For more information, please contact us directly or visit the Xtract Universal Online Help.

With our product yunIO, the specific annual investment depends on your scope of use. It depends on how many services you want to use at the same time. On average, 1–4 services are required per use case. For more information, please contact us directly or visit the yunIO Online Help.

With server licensing, each server on which our product is to be installed must be licensed separately. This also applies to non-productive server environments for testing, development, QA, etc.

An unlimited number of SAP systems can be connected.

Services

No, we do not offer differentiated tiers for our support services. At this point, we believe that it is important to treat every request equally.

Our support service does not include consulting services beyond troubleshooting or implementation support. Support for third-party applications that Theobald Software did not develop is also not included as part of the support services. This includes SAP or third-party applications, such as BI/analytics or cloud solutions. Support is only granted for Theobald Software’s own solutions.

Customers can often handle the implementation themselves due to how intuitive it is to use. If the customer’s resources are otherwise tied up by larger projects or a lack of capacity, they can usually hire partners to handle the task. We have a large number of proven implementation partners that we would be happy to recommend.

The user profile for our software solutions is essentially the same as the one for SAP data, meaning business users. Users may be BI solution architects, business intelligence project managers, or data analysts. Or they may be real data users, such as those from the sales/HR/controlling department. Put simply, almost anyone who processes, uses, or evaluates SAP data can benefit from our solution.

All of our products are based on our ERPConnect solution, which is SAP certified.

Our solutions access the SAP application server via RFC. Therefore, you are not able to directly access the underlying database. We advise against directly accessing the database. Access to SAP HANA Views is still possible via the ODP component. The advantage here is that you can conserve your HANA licenses used for direct access.

This answer ranges from classic data warehouses and cloud storage to BI and analytics solutions. We also offer the ability to integrate SAP processes in Nintex, SharePoint Online, and the Microsoft Power Platform. If your desired target environment is not included, please contact us or check whether the web services/flat files can suit your use case.

Yes, that is one of the great advantages of our universal approach to SAP integration with Xtract Universal. This allows for several use cases to be covered as required, e.g., both a direct connection to Power BI and another for transferring larger amounts of data via cloud storage or data lakes. These are priced separately and provided under a single license.
